Amy is thrilled to be singing on her first tour with Cornerstone Chorale and Brass. Lawrence is a light lyric soprano with a voice that “…peals out tireless top notes” [The Boston Globe]. At the age of 12, she sang her first operatic role with Los Angeles Opera and at age 18 she performed at the Hollywood Bowl, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and Disney Concert Hall.
Most recently she charmed audiences with her characterizations as Little Red Riding Hood in Sondheim’s Into the Woods as well as the role of Edith in The Pirates of Penzance both with the LA based opera company Pacific Opera Project. Amy made her European debut in Viterbo, Italy at the Tuscia Opera Festival where she performed the roles of Despina in Così Fan Tutte and Suor Dolcina in Suor Angelica. While studying at the Boston Conservatory of Music she performed the roles of Queen Tye in Akhnaten, Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Amor in L’incoronazione di Poppea.
Amy also is an accomplished ballroom, swing and salsa dancer and choreographer. She has choreographed numerous operas for companies such as New Orleans Opera and Opera in the Heights in Texas.
