David served in the U.S. Navy as a musician from 2003 – 2017. He was featured as a euphonium and trombone soloist with navy band Northeast, Naval Forces Europe Band in Naples, Italy and Navy Band Great Lakes, IL. David was stationed in Naples, Italy from 2008 to 2012. Toured 28 countries between Europe and Africa in various ensembles such as the Brass Quintet, Ceremonial and Marching Band, Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band.
He was a featured trombone soloist at the Jazz Festival in Yekaterinburg, Russia. He was the lead trombone player of the Al Fenton Big Band and Glen Hanson Swing Band and freelanced throughout the New England, New York and New Jersey metropolitan area and also played with the jazz/pop ensemble “Classified”. David earned a BS degree in mechanical engineering from Rutgers College of Engineering, a second degree, BA in music studies from William Paterson University and a Master of Music degree from University of Rhode Island. He is currently working on a DMA degree at Kansas University in Lawrence and is a freelance musician in the Kansas City metro area, teaching private lessons with all the brass instruments and performing in the KC area with the WE Symphony Orchestra, Festhaus-Musikanten German Polka Band, and the Blue & Gray Brass Brigade.
