Bruce Vantine's Cornerstone Chorale & Brass

Jessica Wax

Jessica is a mezzo-soprano from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She received her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Louisiana State University, where she performed in La Traviata, The Twelfth-Night, Orfeo ed Euridice and played the role of “Mrs. Anderssen” in A Little Night Music.  She also played such roles as “Kate” in Pirates of Penzance, “Joanne” in Rent, and “Fantine” in Les Miserables with Theatre Baton Rouge.  

While earning her master’s degree in vocal performance from Florida State University, she performed the roles of “Olga” in Eugene Onegin, “Thelma Predmore” in Cold Sassy Tree, and “Stephano” in Roméo et Juliette.

Since graduating, she has performed in Stephen Sondheim’s Putting it Together and Gilbert and Sullivan’s A Grand Night for Singing with Havencrest Castle Players.  Jessica now resides in Atlanta, Georgia where she will be performing her second season with The Atlanta Opera.
